Today they sent out word that they will be publishing their final ALICE NINE. Official note article on August 28th, and that their online magazine will cease as of August 31st.
What this means is that as long as you’ve been a subscriber, those ALICE NINE. Official note articles will still remain accessible to you (both the free sections and the paid subscriber sections) even after publication ceases. As long as you’ve been subscribed for a given month, you will retain access to everything they published during that given month. If you merely followed but did not also pay the subscription fee for a given month, then you should have just the free sections of the note articles available to you.
In order to see your current subscriptions and to also find them when you end your subscription and/or the the magazine ceases publication, check the following locations in your account on note.com:
Once you’ve logged in to your account, click your profile image (or the default smiley face), then click on マガジン (Magazine).
Click on 購読中 (Current Subscriptions) and you’ll be able to see magazines that are currently active that you are subscribed to. This is where you will be able to find the ALICE NINE. Official note either until you stop subscribing OR until they discontinue the publication on August 31st.
At that point, all articles from the months in which you subscribed will be available to you indefinitely. This includes articles and the associated videos and audio attachments, from my understanding. Click on 廃刊・過去購読 (Discontinued Publications/Past Subscriptions) to access any content you have stopped a paid subscription to or anything that has been discontinued. This is where you will be able to access all the ALICE NINE. Official note articles even if they remove their public page or this particular magazine. In the example above, I stopped being a paid subscriber when they discontinued the original version that cost a bit more, and re-subscribed to the current version of the note — but I can see all the articles up to that point here even though that version has been discontinued for around 3 years now.
If you begin subscribing for the month of August 2023, you will be able to read the old ones only for the duration of that month and then retain indefinite access ONLY to the ones published during your subscription period of August 2023. So if you’d like to keep any articles that were published during months you were not a paid subscriber, you will have to save them to your computer.
Once the magazine ceases publication, you will no longer have the option to subscribe and get any access to paid portions at all.
Free sections will still be viewable as long as they keep the magazine up publicly on their profile. If they take it down, then those free sections (along with paid sections) will only be available to view by subscribers, via the 廃刊・過去購読 (Discontinued Publications/Past Subscriptions) I described above.
As you can see, on this older version of their official note, the subscription button is un-clickable and says “this magazine has ceased”.
So if you’ve ever meant to subscribe to the ALICE NINE. Official note and haven’t gotten around to it… now’s your last chance to subscribe and retain access before the freeze!
Go to the main page of their note, and on the left hand side (browser) or right under the main banner (mobile), click on the “subscribe for 980 yen/month” button (980円/月で購読する).

In terms of how I will deal with putting up facts and translated information on this fansite after the publication discontinues, I haven’t entirely decided yet. I may translate relevant facts and tidbits to a limited degree for songs and releases (not entire sections) when it comes to the subscriber portions. For the public portions of the articles, I will continue to translate them as usual for deep-dives. We’ll have to see how things go, and whether or not the note is something the band may eventually bring back at a later date.
ALICE NINE., ありがとう & thank you for giving us so many fascinating, interesting, and even funny interviews, articles, essays, radio episodes, covers, and videos since 2019! It was an amazing digital publication to look forward to every week as a 9kumi, and I can’t wait to see what you all choose to do next (even if that choice is to take time for yourselves privately)!
