■This was an interview for your 2nd album, Alpha. The period for this release was an extremely busy one, wasn’t it?
Tora: Yeah, it was busy. Around the time of WHITE PRAYER‘s release, we suddenly became busy. It was nuts.
Hiroto: It’s because from then on, you know, we started appearing in lots of magazines.
■There was a noticeable boost of attention on you. In terms of interviews, though, I think lately ours have been fresh, but hasn’t the increase of them slowly become bothersome?
Saga: Nah, we like interviews.
Hiroto: Yeah, we’re relatively chatty people. Though, personally, I’ve started to fuss over the things we talk about. We appear in various places, and I’ve been thinking that the inconsistencies in what we say here and there are pretty bad. Especially in interviews about our sound and stuff.
Show: With interviewers that I’m used to, I’ve come to think that the things I say change, or rather, I become so relaxed that I give slightly different impressions to them. That’s something I’ve noticed.
Tora: I also like doing interviews, but we’re asked the same things all at once so it’s difficult. As much as possible, I have to try and find different ways to word the same core ideas.
Nao: I’m the opposite, and try to talk about different things each time. There are lots of things I want to talk about, so if I said the same things each time, that’s all you’d get. After all, I think that if people are interested, it’s a given that they’d read several publications to try to understand our thought processes as much as possible.
