Well then, please allow me to ask you about the songs.
Tora: In terms of the first song TIME MACHINE, it’s a song I was able to make when I was playing guitar alone in Yoyogi Park in the middle of the night and a chord progression suddenly came to me. I went into the studio right away the next day.
Show: I always write the lyrics when I get the song, but I felt a strange atmosphere, you see. I suddenly came up with that word time machine, and the words, “you can’t go back to the past!” and wrote incorporating various meanings into the words.
And there’s even an added song, a merou ni shizunde.
Show: The piece also had a heartrending feel, so I tried to write mature lyrics that were personally kind of beyond me.
And there’s “hana ichi monme”, well-known even at lives.
Show: When I got the song from Saga-kun and listened to it, the phrase whose impression stayed with me the most was the sound of the bass. And I tried writing lyrics my way, but I strongly believed that it was likely mine and Saga’s intent came to a mutual understanding.
Saga: That’s Show-kun’s wild fantasy (smile).
Show: Why, you… (awkward smile).
Saga: … (smile).
What were your impressions of the three songs, Hiroto-san?
Hiroto: Yeah. The 3 songs had a lot of phrases that left an impression in various forms, so I had fun as I played guitar. I tried to do my best recording them my way.
